Maximo for Enterprise Asset Management - New Features

Course Description

New Features in Maximo 6 (for EAM) covers the major changes from MAXIMO 5.2 to Maximo 6 as they affect Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).

Many new features were put into Maximo 6 to add required functionality for IT Asset Management (ITAM). A number of these features are mentioned, because this new functionality can benefit EAM customers as well.

• Personnel using MAXIMO 5 versions who want to evaluate a potential upgrade to Maximo 6
• Personnel using MAXIMO 5 versions who are upgrading to Maximo 6

Note: Many changes have been made regarding security and other administrative functions and although these changes are highlighted in this course, it is strongly suggested that administrators attend the full System Administration for IBM Maximo 6 course for more detailed training.

Prerequisites

You should be familiar with the basic functionality of maintenance management and have significant experience with MAXIMO 5 applications. Students should also be comfortable using a personal computer, the Microsoft Windows operating system, and the Internet Explorer browser.
