Course Description

This 5-day instructor-led course provides hands-on practice in implementing a Maximo Asset Management (MAM) strategy. Hands-on exercises will provide participants the opportunity to create a second instance of the Maximo application, perform customization activities, migrate configuration content from a source environment to a target environment (the second Maximo instance), create jms queues, produce BIRT reports, and perform other implementation-oriented activities.

  • Maximo Asset Management Fundamentals
  • Tivoli Application Dependency Discovery Manager (TADDM)
  • IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation skills
  • Database administration
  • WebSphere administration

After completing this course, you should be able to:

  • Describe the architecture of the Maximo Asset Management for 7.1
  • Create a new Maximo instance
  • Perform database and application customization tasks
  • Using Migration Manager, migrate a workflow process from source environment to target environment
  • Perform Integration Framework or MEA-related activities
  • Query and run reports
  • Troubleshoot and maintain MAM including exercises using the Logger application
