Course Description

The Integration Using the IBM Maximo 6 Enterprise Adapter course provides an overview of new J2EE technologies in IBM Maximo: XML, EJB, JMS, and WebServices. This information gives you a better understanding of the IBM Maximo Enterprise Adapter (MEA) facilities. It also teaches Maximo integrators how to configure and customize the IBM Maximo Enterprise Adapter. Configuration includes enabling integration interfaces, assigning and defining end points, and setting up cron task polling programs. Customization includes both rules-based and Java customization.

You should complete:

• Maximo 6 Core Consultant for Enterprise Asset Management: Week 1
• Maximo 6 Core Consultant for Enterprise Asset Management: Week 2

• Basic knowledge of IBM Maximo 6
• Experience with complex systems deployment
• Knowledge of Java to do Java customization
• Understanding of integration needs and fundamentals
• Knowledge of MEA 5.2 would be beneficial
