EDI’s Implementation Services group works closely with each customer to design and develop flexible solutions to a variety of requirements and common industry challenges. No matter how big or small the implementation, EDI’s Implementation Services group will help you achieve your business goals.

Technologies

EDI Implementation Services staff is well versed on current technologies in the web application, database, operating system, mobile, and reporting platforms. Many of today's EAM packages utilize a common framework of Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) object-oriented architecture working against a relational database with Web Service integration and reporting capabilities. Our staff draws on extensive experience in these industry technologies as well as extensive experience in EAM application deployments across several vertical markets ranging from Airport Operations, Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Transportation, Government, and many more. This experience provides a unique understanding of each industry specific set of challenges from managing Sewer & Waste Water distribution to writing IQ, OQ, PQ documents for GMP Validation to implementing ITIL best practices.

EDI’s Implementation Service staff is also trained to identify gaps between customer requirements and EAM package functionality. EDI works with the customer to develop stop gap or custom maintainable solutions to address customer requirements. Our staff also participates in industry specific EAM user groups to drive EAM product manufactures to develop custom functionality into the EAM core product offering. As an example, EDI’s Implementation Services group developed a custom Job Plan revision application for the Pharmaceutical industry in the Maximo^© EAM package. This solution delivered desired functionality to our customers through two product revisions and several patches of the Maximo^© EAM product before IBM^© released plans to incorporate this functionality into the core product offering.

Our Philosophy

Design, develop, deploy, and train a flexible solution such that the client will use EDI Implementation Services in the future because the customer WANTS to, not because the customer HAS to.

Our staff strives to design solutions using “out of the box” capabilities and relevant technologies based on the EAM extension capabilities and/or customer supportable platforms. As part of our implementation methodology, our staff involves the customer throughout the life cycle of the implementation including EAM technology training as well as shared task development. This methodology, coupled with proper documentation, ensures a successful implementation and support handoff.
