From Sunday, August 2, 2009 through Wednesday, August 5, 2009 the Florida Airports Council (FAC) will be holding their 40th Annual Conference & Exposition in Miami Beach, Florida. Hundreds of FAC members, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors will gather at the Loews Miami Beach for the largest single-state aviation conference in the nation. Expected speakers include members of Congress, federal and state leaders, and industry professionals who will discuss national and state issues affecting Florida's airports. In addition, New Officers and Directors for 2008/2009 will be elected by the membership at this time.

The conference will also take a nostalgic look at Florida's pioneering aviation efforts over the last 40 years and anticipate the innovations in store for the next four decades. A variety of views and topics combining both retro and futuristic perspectives on aviation technology, security, land use and airline evolution will be featured.
