EDI takes part in the 2009 ACI-NA Business Information Technologies Conference
EDI's strong commitment to the airport industry continues as our team members get a glimpse of the challenges and opportunities that the future of information technology holds for airport IT professionals. While attending ACI-NA's 2009 Business Information Technologies Conference in Seattle, Washington from April 5-8, EDI will hear from, and network with, airport IT professionals and industry experts about strategies for maximizing the value of airport IT infrastructure, solutions to current IT problems as well as emerging standards.
In a joint session with the ACI-NA Airport Finance and Economics Conference, the focus will be to discover what 'business intelligence' is and why airports need it now more than ever. Strategic IT: Business Intelligence will emphasize the uses of information for making better business decisions, as well as the technology behind it. All participants will learn the value of business intelligence and how to implement it in airports.
In addition, a special focus this year will be how information technology departments are playing a larger role in supporting many airport environmental programs in How IT Can Support Airport Environmental Initiatives. Guest speakers will include:
- Jim Miller, Technology manager, Denver International Airport
- Janell Barrilleaux, director of Environmental Programs, Denver International Airport
- Matt Breed, senior manager of ICT Infrastructure, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport
- Elizabeth Leavitt, director of Aviation Environmental Programs, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport
- Kyle Mobley, IT manager, Oakland International Airport
- Kristi McKenney, manager of Aviation Planning and Development, Oakland International Airport
EDI is a proud member of Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) and looks forward to sponsoring the Annual Conference in Austin, Texas later this year. For more information on ACI, please visit www.aci-na.org.
