EDI Cooks Up Mobile Go-Live for Texas City

The Public Service Department of a city in Texas, famous for hosting the yearly Menudo festival, has gone live June 30th with Syclo mobile solutions implemented by edi?s team of expert consultants. Until recently, inventory was tracked manually for multiple store rooms in five locations throughout the city taking as long as making tripe soup. Inventory was then moved in and out of Maximo and as it is matched with work orders from selected warehouses. The previous system was inefficient and allowed for a high level of inaccuracy from manual data entry. edi?s implementation and configuration of Syclo?s mobile solution for Maximo allows ID tags to be scanned and information to be uploaded directly to Maximo via hand-held devices, providing significant gains in accuracy, efficiency and accountability.
